Google released their two Nexus smartphones in the recent Google Nexus event in San Francisco. The two new handsets that are released are Google’s new flagship smartphone, the Nexus 6P and a mid-range smartphone, the Nexus 5X. Both of these smartphones will carry the latest Android operating system, Android 6.0 Marshmallow. This is the first time, Google has released two devices in one year.
The Nexus 5X is aimed at a mid-range market and will retail at $379(25,000 INR) for 16GB model and $429(28,500 INR) for the 32GB model.
The Nexus 5X will come with Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 chipset which is coupled with only 2GB RAM. The internal storage of the device will be either 16 GB or 32(depends on the model). The graphics on the model will be powered by Adreno 430GPU.
The display is 5.2-inch full HD display with a 423pi pixel density.
Both Nexus 5X and Nexus 6P will get 12.3 MP rear camera with a 1.55 micro-pixel size. The front-camera of Nexus 5X is 5 MP. The battery on the smartphone will be 2700 mAh, which will have fast charging enabled.
Both the smartphones will come with hardware based Android sensor hub that will enable the user to unlock their phone in mere 600ms. That’s pretty fast.
The high-end Nexus 6P comes with better hardware compared with Nexus 5X. It will host a Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 2.0 GHz 64-bit core processor, coupled with 430 GPU and 3 GB of RAM for a smooth experience.
The smartphone will be available in many variants, including 32 GB, 64 GB and 128 GB internal storage variants.
The rear camera on the smartphone is similar to the Nexus 5X, but the front camera is a bump to 8 MP. The display of the Nexus 6P is a staggering 5.7-inch QuadHD AMOLED display with an impressive 518 ppi pixel density.
Corning Gorilla Glass 3 has been used on both the smartphones and both of them carry USB Type-C port.
