Micromax is making more news lately, and the latest news from them that YU, the subsidiary of Micromax, is launching the world’s most powerful smartphone ever. The smartphone is dubbed as Yu Yutopia under the codename of the “Project Achilles”. The code name is used internally for development purposes.
The smartphone is said to tackle the flagship phones in the market. Currently, it is said to target the One Plus series. The smartphone will be developed in India and would be available around Diwali next month.
Currently, there are tons of speculations surrounding the smartphone. There is no spec sheet right now. The team wants to keep it hidden till the official announcement is made. The news of the Yutopia was first released by Yu CEO, Rahul Sharma. When asked on the specs, he didn’t reveal anything, delaying the news to an official announcement event. For the most part, the Yutopia resembles the Yu 5050, which was first seen on sets of the of Antutu benchmark done on the export site Zauba.
But, don’t worry, we manage to collect some speculations around the new Yu Yutopia. The new Yutopia will be powered by the Snapdragon Octa-Core 810 process, and would have an amazing 21 mp camera(rear) and 8 MP front-camera. The display will be either 1080p or 2K. Moreover, they might release two variations of the smartphone, one carrying 3 GB of RAM and the other carrying 4 GB of RAM. The smartphone display size would be 5.2 inch.
According to the sources, YU don’t want to make any compromises to the smartphone as it is mainly targeted at high-end segment.
Last year, YU gained popularity due to their low-mid range smartphone, Yureka, and Yuphoria. It is now a high time for them to enter in the high-end market.
